Our weather offers the four seasons. During winter we’re sprinkled with snow, and spring brightens our hills with the most colorful flowers nature can provide. The diversity of the weather provides a variety of activities, from riding a horse in the early evening during the summer to having snow ball fights in the winter. Summer evenings cool down more than your lower elevation valleys. The altitude ranges from 2000 ft to more than 4000 ft, keeping our summers cooler than expected.
Acton is also home to rare and protected plant and animal life. The Great Basin sage and the Unarmored 3-spine Stickleback fish are two such species. Other species not listed as rare are quail, hawk, raven, squirrel, kangaroo rat, owl, coyote and roadrunner. Occasionally, you may spot an eagle, mountain lion, black bear, or white-tailed deer.
Acton is an equestrian and pet lovers community with the small town atmosphere.
